Onabotulinumtoxina (Botox)

Botox Injection

What is Onabotulinumtoxina (Botox)

Over time, facial lines develop due to the repetitive muscle movements involved in expressions like frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows. These movements cause the skin to crease and fold, leading to the formation of noticeable lines. Onabotulinumtoxina, commonly known as BOTOX® targets this underlying issue by temporarily reducing muscle activity beneath the surface.

BOTOX®, being a neuromuscular blocker, is also utilized for various medical purposes like the treatment of strabismus (crossed eyes), blepharospasm (eyelid spasms), cervical dystonia (severe neck muscle spasms), as well as muscle spasms affecting the ankles, toes, elbows, wrists, and fingers.

Additionally, BOTOX® is employed to manage hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating), prevent chronic migraine headaches, and address urinary incontinence resulting from neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis or spinal cord injury.
